all these spanking turbos should be like porn for me, but instead they just bring a tear to my eye making me realise just how much i will miss the turbo diesel . . .

I miss mine as well vanny! It's been dead for 3 weeks now. It'll be spitting fire again soon though! 8)

The T3 set me back £35! (from a mate). Have no idea how much it would be new if it's still obtainable?

The T2 that was on the car was boosting 1.5 bar 9the joy was I was getting that at 1500RPM :shock: ) so it had emense torque and power (125BHP) almost from idle.

The T3 should run at 2 bar all day quite happily but the engine wouldn't!

I'm gona settle for 1.2 bar to start and work up from there when I know the engine rebuilds ok!

docchevron1472 is the T2 the standard factory fit turbo? If it is, how did you increas the boost? & whats the best boost level for reliability?
