Anyone got 4 alloys available?

Buy or sell parts etc. Please put 'Wanted' in the title if it is a request for parts.

Anyone got 4 alloys available?

Post by MULLEY » Sat Oct 21, 2006 6:59 pm

They dont need to be mint, but i dont want any that are completely shagged (unless ultra cheap). Not bothered about tyres either.

Cheers

Forgot to mention, silver one's please (i think the smaller width version only came in this colour?).

I think I have one or two of the silver ones somewhere, will check tomorrow, Vanny wanted one as a spare but I am unsure about the state of his BX currently.

Just been in the garage, under the piles of goodies I found one with a good tyre on it, I wonder where the other one went?

Tim, ive had a bit more luck recently from your goodself, still want another set of alloys, so i can have a set of winter tyres along with normal one's. If none come up for sale shortly, i will just use the steelies for winter & the alloys for summer.

Thanks to Cornishbx16v, i contacted the chap who was selling some & hopefully should get them delivered tomorrow.

They are apparently the wider of the 2 alloys you can get, whats the smallest tyre you can fit on those (185's)?

You can fit 185's but I'd really get 195/60's on it if you want it to handle.

6J's were designed to have 195's....

Does anybody know if putting 195/60 R14s on a 5.5 GTi alloy (as opposed to a 16v rim) is OK (or shall I stick to 185/60 R14s?).
