Near Chesterfield to Manchester & back in the same day. I want to take the Gti back to Westroen who fitted the spheres as i think some may be duff, problem being that i cant drive the car over there as its on SORN & isnt insured, so thought easiest solution would be to borrow a trailer.

Dont really want to hire one as wont it be expensive?

Would be cheaper to insure it and tax it maybe!

Easier to take the spheres off and take them along for testing. - After all if they're the correct pressure and size with the correct dampers there's not much else that can go wrong with them.

Good idea Jeremy, unfortunately i dont have any tools for the job & i'm afraid to touch the green beasts for fear of quick death.....

Basically i dont have any mechanical knowledge when it comes to cars, so would need help in taking them off.

I hired a car trailer a couple of years back was around the £35 quid mark. Another option is to buy (or I can send you) a sphere removal tool and although you say you're not mechanically minded, its a simple job (very easy on the front, a bit more awkward on the back). I'm sure a sticky could be arranged with photos to follow??????

Put some soil around it and pretend it`s a rockery? To be honest mate (if you can get away with it) I think it`s probably cheap enough to buy then use a couple of times and I reckon you`d get your money back or more.

Good, it was a daft idea anyway. :D

talk about taking the mountain to mohammed

Got to be easier to take the said spheres off. Especially if they haven't been on long.
