Citroen BX 19RD Auto w/ aircon for sale

Post by BCXM » Mon Feb 12, 2007 9:42 am

Hello

Having just bought back my old red 19RD Auto, the silver RD auto with aircon is now surplus to requirements. I'm taking on two GSA's this month and really don't have the time for this project.

I have not run up or tested this car I bought it blind from a trade contact and have now swopped my credit with the chap for some parts instead...

As far as I know the car was owned by his wife for many years and developed autobox trouble and has stood for 2-3 years. The car has straight panels the interior isn't sodden and the engine runs. Other than that I know bugger all else about it. What it has going for it is the aircon which is either an aftermarket type or a dealer fitted option as the aircon button switch is mounted in one of the blankers on the centre console.

It may be a good project for someone who has the bits lined up. It may or may not need a new/reconditioned box, we can convert to manual if desired, and will probably need fuel lines/ hydraulic pipes as its been stood in a field for some time. If it is too far gone it may be a useful donor car especially the aircon kit..

£60 is what the guy wants for it

A chap I know has just bought the car to put the engine and autobox into his BX estate...The aircon kit is therefore surplus to requirements if anyone wants it for £50..

How intense is this system to fit?

I've got virtually no chance of getting the aircon system i've got complete due to lack of certain parts.

I'd be interested in this if its complete.

I've never retro fitted an aircon system so I couldn't say how hard it would be..I know the fitments exist on certain models like the 19GTi..
The system is complete though including pipework and the switches..
