1991 GTi auto with air con for sale

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Hi

My GTi is up for grabs. I have taken on ayet another BX so it with a heavy heart that I have decided to let my GTi of four years go to another discerning BXer. The car has 5 months Tax and 5 months MOT. Everything works. As I have mentioned before the air con might need a regas come the summer (£50-70). It comes with a FULL history and paperwork and as anyone who's seen it will testify, the bodywork's pretty fine. The wheels are excellent speedline alloys with similarly good Pirelli P6000s. The spare's a good one too. It's got a face-off Panasonic CD radio and six speakers. A few things are dependant upon what price I'm offered, such as mudflaps and rear headrests, but the sunroof delector is staying with me, I'm afraid... The engine's using a little oil but nothing much, and if I was going to keep it I'd probably get the valve oil seals done at some point. But as any 8v GTi owner will tell you, that's hardly unusual. It needs welding in the boot floor which I have got a quote of £80 to do.

So all in all a beautiful car.

Would anyone care to make me an offer? OFFER? Yes, offer. Why? because it is difficult for me to price. The tax and test has got to be worth a bit and add the air conditioning... 8) And summer's coming, people!

The car is in Chelmsford Essex, but I'm off to Brighton on Saturday, so if someone wanted it and there was more convenient, I could do a deal there...

PM me and I'll give you my number etc. if you are interested.

Phil

Absolutely, Tim. I'm buying that white BX16TGS auto (with PAS) and 26k miles... and I can't keep three BXs.

Any offer considered.

Ok phil, I would consider lowering the starting price, and obviosly keeping the reserve as is. When I have sold cars before Ive noticed that a very low start gets "the ball rolling" I comment your honesty about the description.

Lower the starting price? Its £49?! :?

Good luck with the sale Phil. To anyone interested, I've seen this car numerous times at shows and it's usually the tidiest BX there each time. It was also the only one which wasn't hotter than the sun inside

A great example. Personally, I still can't work out why you're selling it

I've owned an ex Phil GTi & the history i got with it was amazing, if this car had 3 pedals i'd probably own it by now.

Actually I did as it was £99

The reserve isn't set too high either.

I'm selling it because I've just got a 26k mile 16TGS with a FULL one owner history, that's in perfect order. And my other car, the TXD estate that I got off Ken is super too. So, as I can't keep three cars and as I've had the GTi 4 years now, I figured it was time to move on. Hopefully someone from the club'll win it.

BTW if anything, the history with this GTi is more comprehensive that the one Arctic refers to.
