BX: free to a good home.

Post by munfred » Sun Apr 15, 2007 10:45 pm

G plate.
1.4TXE
Has covered nearly 90k, but has been off the road for the last 10 months. I think it has 1 months MOT left.

New front discs and pads.. covered less than 500 miles and front tyres have only covered 1000. Spare has a brand new michelin tyre on it.

Has a tow bar, and only needs a battery to work. I have started it about 4 times over the past year to move it about for space on the driveway, and have had to jump start it the last 3 times.

Currently declared SORN.
I own a saxo, but don't hold that against me. I now have a BX aswell ;)

Utterly amazed this has been on the Forum 24 hours with no interest?

I would If I could, but I cant. Good luck in finding it a new home.

To be honest, its only the distance that puts me off - Bedford being a bit further afield than I could travel to collect a SORN car - if there is no joy on this forum, try the Autoshite Boys, I am sure Pogweasle or somone would give it a loving home.

Blooy hell lads, come on! Cheap tax band too so if you get a train down there and spend £60 odd quid on 6 month`s tax you could rive it back legally.
Now that would be a very cheap way to go and you'd have it legal too.

Hang on.... the BX DIY website says that you can get a 14 TXE, so it would be the same spec level as a 16 Meteor with velour seats and front elec windows and sunroof.

Please please post some pictures as IMO it would boost interest. We don't know what colour it is yet!

sorry.
Its red. Have only got one pic if someone can host?, but will try to get some more up.

It has electric windows and sunroof.
Sorry log book says TGE I guessed in my previous post.
And I just checked the MOT and lied. Its only got until the 26th of this month. THought it had a little longer. :(

Seriously tempted now to strip it, sell it for parts, then use the money to pay for it to get taken away.

I could take it to a local car recyling centre and get £50 but have no way of getting it there.
