Sprung wheel trims?

Post by toddao » Wed May 16, 2007 9:14 am

Are these proper BX trims? I've never seen them before. The seller says they need special fixings

I think they are BX ones - the Mk 2 ph 1 19DTR had them - but I don't know about the fittings...

Where's Tim when you want him?

They do look original to me, perhaps being sprung lessens the risk of damage from kerbing etc?

They are original. I have them on the GT. The special fixing they are on about is a sprung metal ring that grips the wheel in the conventional manner, and then the hubcaps have slats round them for prongs on this metal ring to stick into and hold on the wheel trim. They dont make that lovely BX on potholes sound like the normal ones held on by wheel bolts.

Tim, I'm being really serious here, you should go on Mastermind!

You'd clean up!

Since I suggested the idea, I'd like 50% of all sponsorship / winnings / television coverage! :D
