BX16v for sale
Due to being let down by my so called friend i am now advertising this for sale on here before it goes on ebay.
It is a silver 1993 K reg Mot until August 2007
Its a nice car and goes as you would expect a 16v, suspension all working as it should.
I brought it from Adrian from the 16v forum originally and have changed the water pump, cambelt and tensioners last August and since then have done very little mileage.
Genuine reason for sale. £500 ovno
Cheers
Barry

Hi All, i assume its in the same condition as it is in the above photographs, the roof needs painting but it was like that when i brought it.
Also the chrome end part on the tail pipe has fallen off, but apart from that it`s in the same condition, ive only put 4k on it since ive had it the current mileage is 92000. The tax will be redeemed unless someone is willing to pay me for the remaining months.

Just been made aware of this from bx16valve.co.uk
That is indeed my old car, which I owned from September 2000 till I sold it to Barry in September 2005.
I bought it with only 55k on the clock and 1 previous private owner (it spent the first 10-11 months registered to Citroen) and did quite a few miles in it for the 1st 18 months, then changed jobs and moved house so was then kept garaged and did an average of 3k a year (from memory!) with an annual service and any little bits and pieces done as needed.
It had a LOT of money spent on it while I had it - Barry should have a folder I did with all the bills for my ownership and I scared myself when i added it up. I did a couple of big winter tidying jobs on the car - the starter motor packed up so while I was in there replacing that I also fitted a brand new FDV and had the injectors serviced. Also re-wired the injector plugs as the old ones were breaking up from age. Another winter I replaced EVERY hose in the cooling system and put stainless hose clips throughout.
It has Magnecor ignition leads throughout, genuine replacement dizzy cap and rotor (also new white back plate thing). Read headrests in correct pattern also. Interior was absolutely mint when sold by me.
It had a set of matching Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres on when I sold it, although I expect one pair will have been changed since.
The car was serviced by Witmun Engineering and if I'd kept it the cambelt etc was due to be done, which Barry has clearly sorted.
In the time I had it it never suffered any accident damage and was very reliable.
By the way it's an August '92 registration and only rolled off the production line a matter of weeks before. It has a metal bonnet and to my knowledge is the only 16V with one in the UK. Last time I checked the register it was the last but one known - the last being in Chile!
It does have a cat, but I still have a replacement front downpipe from when I planned to go stainless. It never seemed to lag far enough behind other 16Vs on club meets to really worry about it - and you get a bit extra low down which helps compensate.
Be a shame for this to go to a numpty 205 owner on price alone when they'll probably change their minds after stripping it. It's far too rare for that!
The roof needed painting and the tailgate spoiler was looking a bit moth eaten but these were the only faults. Anyone with access to reasonable priced painting, or the ability to do it themselves would end up with a superb and rare example - I had agreed insurance value of £2000 when I owned the car and ran it on classic insurance. If you can't paint it'll still be reliable and plenty good enough to look at from 10 feet away - I've seen far worse BXs claiming to be mint!!
I only sold the car because I went halves on an early phase 1 with my Dad with very low mileage and I wasn't using the phase 2 enough. I also wanted a brand new car while I could afford one so ordered a Leon Cupra R once the phase 2 and my wife's Xsara VTS had both sold.
Any questions just ask, and hopefully if anything's changed with the car while Barry's owned it he'll correct here.

......7 months later I've just spotted this appear on the ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... SS:GB:1123
Not the greatest of adverts in terms of text or pics but it does correctly show the engine as having a cat (although most Pug owners will probably assume that's a mistake!)
Doesn't look too bad all things considered, but no MOT = not much money I reckon
Should be a cheap car for someone with the cambelt done.
