BX turbo diesel heater hose - wanted!

Post by zebedee150 »

Please can fellow bx horders look through their stash of hoses? My daily runner has decided to spring a water leak from one of the heater hoses.

The one I am looking for starts from the rear of the right handside of the head, goes across the back of the engine to the driverside and conects with the heater stubs on the bulkhead.
I remember changing on e a few years ago, at least equal to the grief of changing the clutch cable!!

Citroen say they can get me one for a year next christmas and at vast expence!!

Can anyone help?

Right, I *should* have a second hand one, somewhere.
Where I have no idea, but somewhere!

If I can find it and it's servicable, it's yours.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Yes they are a bit pricey for a hose. I bought one in 2004. It was £47.

Thanks Doc.
I am heading up to Weston super Mare next weekend, to finish some tiling for some friends. (looks like it will be in the wife's Rav). So if you could track one down by then I could always pop up and grab it.
Happy to make a contribution to the coach restro fund for it!

A section of plumbers copper pipe and some hose clips makes a good everlasting repair, failing that the non turbo hose is the same apart from a bit of heatproof wrapping.
