Spares clearout

Post by csg100 »

Now my 16v is gone I'm gonna have a clear out of parts. So, off the top of my head I have:
Oil temp sensor £10 (brand new with receipt from Citroen for £14.61)
Rear spheres - brand new from GSF, listed for 16v SOLD
Twin fan setup £10
Rear headrests in black SOLD
Ferodo front pads (BNIB) SOLD
Ferodo rear pads (BNIB) SOLD
Cambelt for 16v (BNIB) £5
Pair 16v front struts with spheres SOLD
Parcel shelf, with speakers but no blinds £5
Non 16v back box (bit manky but still useable) - free
Citroen electric mirror glass (drivers side I think - art number is 95 619 707) BNIB £3

I think that's about it, but if I find anything else I'll list it on here.

Cheers

Also got a pair of headlamp protectors - they dont cover the indicators though, Kitch once commented they may be for a mk1. Anyone else seen any like these that could confirm/deny?

Yeah, they have black lines across them, and Citroen written in red in the corner, although thats a bit faded. Slightly cracked too. In fact here's a pic:

Whilst internally the front suspension struts may vary with age they do not vary in function. The strut simply supports the car with all the damping being done by the sphere and so the same front struts are used on all BX from 14 to 16 valve and the estates.

The rears are similar - but there is a distinction between hatchback and estate ones which are larger in diameter.

Xantia ones are rather different (and more robust in construction but not capable of being dismantled) but apparently can be fitted. I'm not sure if the piston size is the same - so it may be necessary to fit them in pairs.
