I saw this one while I was on holiday at the start of the month. Its really not in bad condition at all, I've no idea why they've not cleaned it up at all, but it seemed rust free, ran and rose fine and tried very hard to keep up with me (was in the fully laden GTI at the time). Saw it parked on the road every day, then as we were leaving I saw it start up and pull off behind me.

That'll be a good car for someone. Not my choice of engine in an estate though, would have to be a DT for me. Petrol is for hatches.

Oops, I missed that! Thanks Tim. Serves me right for skimming.

If it goes cheap (which it might, as it looks so awful) it might still be worth it. How much would a clutch replacement set me back on one of these?
