going to try and have a look at it tomorrow. Its for me but it wont be mine if that makes any sense. My boss wants one as a company car (but i will be driving it) if its any good he may well have it but it will be sign written with the company name.

As long as it gets saved then thats cool, P1 16vs are uber rare, especially in that colour!

It has not been on the road for about 8 years!!!!

I would not buy that without expecting to do a lot of work to it before it could be MOTd.

If it has not been dry stored, it will probably be full of rust too.

Why was it not used for so long? There must be something wrong with it.

I think a car already on the road would be a better bet, and only cost a few hundred more-unless it is bought for parts or you have lots of spare time.

Try finding a P1 16v in that colour though Mike! You wont do mate. BXs are at that banger stage, and its now or never to save them if you want to.

Had the same situation with my Rover 10 years ago, If i hadnt of bought it would have been used as a donor for some kind of kitcar come hotrod as the engine was more desirable than the actual car. Ten years on theres hardly any early cars left and the values are increasoing nicely.
