Tims right they are rare as rocking horse s**t. There was one down here 2 years ago in a scrapyard fitted to a bx estate but it was worn badly and all the stiching had gone plus it was mouldy so i left it where it was. Price wise thats not to bad and im also after a 3 or 4 spoke rs steering wheel for the escort rs turbo and they fetch £100-£170 depending on condition.

Thanks Rob! By the way wold you happen to have a spare standard 16v gear knob? The one on mines got chunks missing, Will of course pay you for it.

One of my best eBay sales was a Mota Lita alloy gear knob for a Mini (it was a monte carlo special edition and cost me £25) Sold it for £200 to a bloke in Oz.
Wish I had bought a few more now!

Hi Tim,

yes i have got a 16v gear knob and its in perfect condition. I got it for my 16v but it doesnt fit??. my gearbox has reverse back then right and i wonder if this gear knob is for the earlier box with reverse forward and left??. Let me know if your intrested tim
