Yeah, it's been on ebay a couple of times, it does look good, but is it?

It's too much money.
Might be a very nice car, certainly looks it. But it's too much.

It's also advertised as British Racing Green, when it's clearly Triton Green.
And frankley, although the rear lights are the right tint for the colour of the car, since the tailblazers smoked, then the lights should be too, it looks naff like that.
And the tail pipe looks rotten.
If it was £400, then it would be worth looking at.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

It won't sell for the simple reason it's too expensive and has too much competition in Auto Trader. People still won't see the value in buying a car that old when they could get a far newer one for the same price or less. We know they're good cars but not everyone else does I'm afraid.

Yes, curious colour for him to claim a french car was painted! :?

Even if the French copied a match of the colour they would never call it BRG or signify it was British in any way.

First time it was on ebay, it was sold for £860 :o Now that could be why he wants so much for it.

However, by the time he's paid ebay fees and autotrader fees, he might have been better off taking £400.

Says over £500 been spent on it lately. People tend to want to get some money back on their investment. Unfortunately it doesn't wok that way when the repair is more than the car is actually worth.

Indeed.
I've spent THOUSANDS on the TD and the Valver, but at the end of the day, neither of them are worth more than any other BX.
It may have had £500 or £5000 spent on it, bnut it's still a wierd french car thats old and has limited appeal outside of nutters.

I dont think the price is too bad, afterall, if its had all the major work that a bx needs, then that will be pretty cheap motoring for 2-3yrs before it all needs doing again.

I guess its only us skin flints in the club that baulk at those sort of prices, give it a few more years & sheds will cost that & decent one's will be over a grand & then we'll be moaning about how expensive they all are :D

Well yeah, but how well has any of the work been done?
If you;re buying a car that you plan to keep, whats the first thing you do?
Cambelt, full service etc..
Thats a few notes on it's own.
Ok, so it the ad may say "new belt" but would you REALLY leave it to trust?
I wouldn't.
