Thanks Tim. Nice to meet up again.

Well, what a car - got me back the 152 miles in comfort, no issues to mention, at an average speed of 66 mph - at 35 mpg. No complaints there.

Certainly doesn't feel like a 20 year old car. Looks a bit lumpy - but sweet as a nut! Cheers Tim!

Yep, well Tim has 'the touch'. I washed it too when I got back, but really - with this weather - I needn't have bothered!

It's an OK BX - apart from the sides which are a bit holey, or crumpled in parts - but hey, who's complaining?! It's a bit of a troublesome cold-starter, but I think the trick is to jump straight in, start it and drive off before it knows what's happening... luckily it raises up quickly!

Noticed it has intermittent rear wipe (although as yet it doesn't wash) - not something I'm used to on a hatchback.... did you change it for an estate set up?

Anyway, I don't suppose you know if the cam belt was changed in the last few years/ 48,000 miles do you???

It hasn't had a cam belt change in the last 2 years/24k miles (the time I had it). I don't remember seeing a bill for one from the previous owner. Probably needs one.

Rear wash/wipe is original as far as I know. No idea why it doesn't wash. I was dissapointed that my BX14 doesn't use the same set up.

I only cleaned it and swopped a few "donated" bits over  , the rear wash wipe you can get to engage the motor but you have to hold it ina certain position.
