It's been almost forgotten about till last week, but spring is here and it's out of hibernation time.
My Mk1 has to be got ready for it's long drive south. Speaking to the buyer last night, it seems they are now ready at their end to take delivery of their "new" car.
I'm going to fit a new cambelt as it's four years since it had one and it has covered about 6,000 miles since then
It really will break my heart to see it go, but I know it's going to a good home and will be cherished and looked after.
I have to admit being somewhat disappointed that I couldn't sell this one to an established BX enthusiast especially as the Mk1s are all but extinct, but hopefully I have now created a new enthusiast. She has got rid of her Xantia in favour of one of those orange C3s
I 've already plugged this site to HER so mind your language from now on, I know I'll have to do the same

Parting from a MK1 BX
Speaking of parting from a BX.
We just parted from our MK1 BX 16TRS Automatic. Nearly broke my heart. The family had owned it since new and had about 45,000 miles on it! He even had a name. He was our Henry.
He was immaculate and had air-conditioning and power windows all round.
It will be sorely missed, but has gone to another BX owner who has just moved to Australia from the UK and brought their 19TRS with them. At least it won't get lonely in the garage at night!
It had to make way for a Renault Megane Convertible
We will sorely miss Henry and hope that he will be well looked after.
