(which are free to anyone who needs them)

I also have:

1x 1600 carb with auto choke (vacuum unit removed) it was free to me, so it's free on here...F.O.C

1x 1600 carb with manual choke, complete with choke cable and insert for dash with choke lever. F.O.C

1x Black coin holder insert for dash £3

1x N/S front indicator mk2 £5

Image

1x O/S front indicator mk2 £5

1x N/S mk2 rear lamp (grey smoke) £10

Image

1x O/S mk2 rear lamp (grey smoke), light crack but totally sound £5

Image

1x PAS bare steering rack. Used. F.O.C

1x Overhauled Pinion valve. Unused. £25

1x Rectangular Airfilter (suit TD, 16v etc) £2

1x PAIR of front calipers. Used, believed to be good but have never used them. F.O.C

1x N/S Electric door mirror. Light scratch on cover, but nothing horrific. £8

Image
Image

1x Set of genuine unused front mudflaps. Bought for 16v, but I'm told they fit all models. £20

Image

1x Drive belt tensioner....unknown type. Assuming diesel engine based? Bearing good. F.O.C if you need it.

Image

1x Generic leather gearknob. Nothing chavvy, think I bought if for my 1400 years ago! £5

I'm also putting two Dyson's on ebay, both are spares/repairs and a 20in TV.

Thats about it for the mo!

The tensioner is XUD.

Hhmm, I could be rather tempted by the mud flaps if no-one else wants them?
Since the valver now has rear flaps it would rather more uniform with front flaps too (ooh er missus!)

Carb and wheeltrims

Post by Neil »

Hi, I saw the posting. I wonder if the 1x 1600 carb with manual choke, complete with choke cable and insert for dash with choke lever is still available?

Also, I would certainly be keen on one of the sets of wheeltrims as they look a lot better than mine.

Thank you

Best wishes from Neil

Doc....to you anything is free. If you want the flaps they're yours.

Neil: The carb is still available, as are the trims (although hopefully you noticed they're only in sets of 3!) The early ones aren't mint, but the later ones are pretty good.

Hi Kitch,
Count me in for the N/Side indicator unit. Just modified mine on a gatepost last weekend! Guess who has two mint O/Side ones in stock? Typical!
I would also put my hand up for the belt tensioner if it is still going.
Can you let me know how much to post them down here. Cheers.

Simon: Auto choke carb stll available

Neil: Sorry forgot to reply to message. I will try and find out how much postage is, but I rarely get a chance to get down there before they close at half 5 (theyseem to forget people work!) I was hoping for collection only really, although you could ask Simon our resident courier here if he'd collect it when he picks this other stuff up.

Also forgot to mention I have a low milage 1600 XU head suitable for a carb fed engine, but it has a couple of slightly bent valves. No big deal really, the car still ran!

I've got at least 2 more early Mk2 wheeltrims which would be FOC - haven't checked them lately but believe they're in good order and I'm pretty close to Kitch so they were to go in the post together, if that were feasible.

A little more info on the 1600 manual carb conversion: Kitch had it from me, and it was taken from an F/G reg 16RS in the days I spent so much time in a scrapyard stripping BXs that some people began to think I worked there.

Head and wheeltrims

Post by Neil »

Hi DLM,

If you could spare the wheeltrims that would be great! Also, Kitch, I can see that the head could be useful in the future, so yes please.

I will write to Simon as he lives in Woodley which is really close to where my parents live and I could come and visit him and pick the stuff up.

Another 2 trims then - the type without the black inserts?
