Brand new bx front flexi hoses

Post by rob-bx16v »

Hi There,

i purchased these front brake flexi hoses for my 16v but they didnt fit as mine are different. They also dont fit our 90 (h) gti 8v so they are now up for sale. I can not tell you which bx,s they fit but hopefully from the pics someone might be able to tell.

They cost me £22 the pair. If you are intrested in the pair please make me an offer

Rob, I seem to recall that this is one of the parts that is different between a BX with ABS and those without. So unless they are labelled wrongly they are likely to be the non-ABS type as you have ABS cars.

Very interesting link Vanny, slightly off topic it makes me smile when people talk about the "complicated" hydraulic system, when compared to a 'normal diesel with ABS you have a vacuum pump, probably a power steering pump and an ABS pump all replaced with a single system. Hmm, eggs and baskets might spring to mind...

Has anyone ever tried to get a stainless hose made up for the BX brakes (or any other Citroen?) I wonder if there is any performance advantage, probably not as the sponginess in a normal system would be compensated for by the hydraulic pump?
