WANTED - Still after some GTi alloys

Post by andmcit »

Does anyone have a good set available for sale, preferably with tyres and
bolts to use straight on the car? The Bx they'd be fitted to is running steels
with good 175 65 14's which feel Ok but I just prefer as big a footprint as
possible without totally screwing the gearing and speedo.

I guess the steels could be swapped over for alloys if someone wants!!

What is the max width tyre the Bx alloys run with; 185 or 195 or more!?
I can get hold of a set of Xant!a alloys with 195 55 15's which according to
the www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html comparison website work out to be
13mm different in diameter - would these alternative alloys physically fit
a Bx hub though or is that why the 16v'er has wider rear spat arches?

Am based around Cardiff Bristol Gloucester areas but could travel further.

ER, well 5.5J rims should run 185 and 6J (16V) rims should run 195's.
I wouldn't go any wider than that frankley.

15" Xanty rims will fit the BX, but look naff IMHO....
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
