Hey Tony, sounds like a nice car. Is it all sorted now (and I mean that respectfully) as I recall Phil saying he'd had some problems with it when he first bought it?
It has to be worth your asking price to anyone 'in the know' in my eyes as these are getting rarer by the week now and are great fun to drive.

When I sold the car the only thing left to sort was a crack in the rear bumper. It had masses done in the few weeks I owned it and as far as I was concerned it was a reliable BX with no remaining issues. The tyres alone were £230 and had about 100 miles on them!

Hi Phil
Thank you for offering your unbiased view and knowledge of the car to any club member interested
As you spent so much care and money on it I thought it would go to a good home here
As you are not selling it you have no axe to grind
Its done less than 150 miles since I bought it, cant fault it
The slight split in the rear bumper is only the outside skin no big dent or anything, one of those mobile repair boys quoted maximum of £100
I am trying to sort out some photos but you bx boys are sharper than me on the computer front, took me 4 days to register only got in thanks to Martys help
Would be really grateful to you Phil if you have some photos specially the bumper to put peoples mind at rest
thank you

Well - I have some news.
It would appear that the car was effectively parked up as soon as it was driven to its new home. And because of unfortunate reasons stayed there until today.
If I've got it right, the car - looking it has to be said a little sad after standing under a teee for nearly six months has just got itself a new owner, who's collecting it on Sunday.
Good news as another few months would have seen it effectively consigned to scrap.
I'm happy it's been saved and look forward to chatting again to its new owner, Simon, once he's given it a bloody good clean and got some oil, wax and other lubrication pasted, squirted and rubbed into those vulnerable areas!

Oh well, spoke too soon. It would appear that the seller and buyer have fallen out over the issue of taxing/insuring/collection of the car. Whatever. The sad bottom line is that the car seems destined to rot in its damp, under-tree setting. What a waste.
