TXD Turbo badge?
TXD Turbo badge?
A bit of a long shot, but has anyone got a new (or very good) "TXD Turbo" badge for Monica's right arse-cheek?
Failing that, what might be the best way to "restore" the chrome finish on my existing badge (the chrome effect is very flat and dull = crap!)
Cheers
Dave

Hi Marty!
If you find that TXD Turbo badge, and it's OK, I'll gladly relieve you of it, mate!
I should be available most of the day on Sunday, so if you want to give us a ring, my number is: 0
You can call round, or I can easily meet up with somewhere, such as Waves carpark (where we did last year!). Whatever's best for you.
Cheers

Dave,
1x Bottle of "chrome effect" silver paint
1x cotton ear bud
1x steady hand
= a very good result
Apply 2-3 coats for a nice durable smooth finish. I've found a cotton bud is superior to a brush because it leaves no brush marks.
Alternatively you could buy a spray can of Plastikote "mirror effect" paint to respray the badge, having carefully masked off the black areas. BTW, faded, or polish-contaminated black backgrounds of badges come up proper nice with a spray of "Back to Black"!
Cheers,
Mark.

Thanks Mark!1x Bottle of "chrome effect" silver paint

The first two items I can manage with no problem, the third is a tad more difficult!!
I may play about with some selective masking and see what I come up with. If I fail miserably I can always sand it all off again!
Cheers
