I imagine the CH/S is for switzerland/sweden where they are hot on emissions and most probably have catalysts.

As the pipe is for carburated cars, the cat will be sha**ed fast if mounted to it!

I believe there were 3 bids. :?

Doesn't the bid counter zero when a listing is pulled ? :?
God knows mucker but if you remove the bids then amend the advert it should be fine. Obviously it's worth doing the honourable thing and letting the bidders know why their bids were removed.

The bidding had gone up to £16 but as its not what I thought it was then I pulled the listing, as I have 2 I have relisted it correctly.

Even better, you could sell it as a performance part.

Improve your Xantia's performance with my de-cat pipe. Fits all Xantias except Citroens. Not AE86 Mexico RS200 RS2000 recovery spares or repairs winch Cosworth'

My bad entirely!
It the manifold end looked just the right shape for a valver, complete with the angles splitter.
It rather looked like a front cat repair pipe to me...

I should have looked more carefully, and with a clearer head.
Apolagies Tim.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

....for your P/no. 96 076 275

(Not sure what the "except CH & except S" means)
I think it'll be to do with countries. According to the list of international licence plate codes, CH stands for Switzerland, and S stands for Sweden. Pretty sure they have different emissions regs over there which requires a modified carburettor and stuff.

16Valver Front Downpipe.

Post by roy.hassell »

Hi, Roy here,
Thought I would jump in on this one as it was me who advised Brian of the correct part number as I suggested to him he should bid for it on e-bay for his 16Valver.
According to my copy of the Citroen Micro-Fiche thingy that the parts dept use, the correct part number for a 16Valver front pipe without a cat is 96-064-537 and is described as ' Exhaust Ft Pipe Avec Detente.'
This is only one of the many pages ( 108 in total ) which I managed to get photocopied when rebuilding my 2 x 16Valvers and is for sale at £15.00 on my list of Bits for Sale
