F*** me! That's a steal! Someone must be up for it? I would next year - as it would be good for the Gumball 3000!

I'm sorry mate, that's such a shame after all your hard work :( I hope it goes to someone who appreciates it.

You're fucking shitting us man?!
No way...

Christ.

£750's the bargain of teh decade.
This car is a gem. Needs a cut on the fresh paint but otherwise it's a gem.
One of the best idling valvers I've ever heard.

Mate, are you really sure, I mean credit cards, mortgages... who needs a house? Really!

Gutted for you...

If I hadn't just spent rather alot more than that on something ratjer much bigger I'd be ripping your bloody arm off for it, really I would.

In short. BARGAIN.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Jon I wish I could have edited my post. I forgot to mention the obvious - that is, I am really sorry to hear this after all the work. I hope you manage to get over this hump OK.

Good luck, mate.

That must be the understatement of the year. So much work on it Jon.
The credit crunch has now metamorphosed into the BX crunch.
I really feel for you. I would hate to sell any of my BXs, especially to raise some cash because the USA's banking system has put us all in this mess.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Sorry to hear it Jon - after a winter's worth of work. Must be the best early 16v to be had anywhere. ( Why are the ph1's so scarce when there were so many more made than the Ph2?)

Hope something comes up for you to prevent this happening
Todd

Surely it'd be better using some old knacker for something like that?

The P1 ran from 87-89 and then the P2 from 89-92/3, I imagine alot of the early ones have been donored by now.

To echo what's already been said - that's a real shame. I hope that if you do sell it stays within the club and perhaps you can get first choice if and when the new owner decides to sell - hopefully when your financial situation improves.

Jon, it's not much help to you, but I'd really love that car, and take good care of it.

Unfortunately, I'm now working all hours to make good money I'm still owed and haven't got a penny to spare. the credit crunch has got me too.

But, on the bright side, there's a couple of people over here who are well impressed with GRX and I'll call them tomorrow and see what we can arrange. That way at least I can keep my eye on the car.

Sorry to hear that Jon.

TBH I've been having thoughts of selling my BX too, because of my spiralling debt.... :(

I didn't think we had the UK numbers for the P1 and P2 valvers ? I know the overall production figures are well publicised though.
The fact that the early modelks had uncoated pipes probably did not help the cause and the P2 styling and manner does fit better into the ordinary world.

Sorry to hear you are parting company Jon but I am sure you will make sure it goes to a good home.

Cheers
