Crap! I'll possibly amend it later dude, cheers. Mind you it does have 2 (yes, TWO!) ' Too fast, too furious' stickers on the the boot. Do you think they'll be the deal clincher?

Aside from the fact it's a mk2 not a mk1 and that AFAIK, AX Van's don't exist anyway (reference several paragraphs down) it's a bargain!

Truth be told it'll outlive any petrol powered BX given the chance

It's a colossal bargain of incredible cheapness. Interesting enough someone sent me a link today that is entirely apt for the listing.
Enjoy...

Because theres alot more to go wrong on a BX. The TU is a more simple engine compared to an XU, and if it isn't ragged the MA gearbox will last forever too. Workshop times are all much lower, so it'll cost less to keep it going.
Only things that ever go on an AX are inner wings and boot floor rusting, wishbone bushes, CV joints and rear axle bearings. BX's do that too, only with that added bonus of A and C pillars that rot, hydraulic pipes that corrode and burst and hydraulics that give in to wear and tear.
Couple this to the fact that the TU is more frugal, the AX cheaper to run, insure and repair and I think it's much more likely that the AX would generally outlive the BX.

It doesn't happen like that, because AX's are even less refined than BX's and are a more disposable car. People will keep old BX's going because they like the car, but people will only keep an AX going until the MOT runs out, as they only wanted something small and cheap in the first place, not the AX in particular.

Obviously for a diesel BX this is different, as the TUD isn't as reliable as the XUD.

Beg to differ Kitch, AX vans do exist! Used to be one local to me but lost track of it after it was sold a few years back and I told myself I didn't need it! Never seen another one since. That was a black 15D.
