No worries Bandit, & yes its for a turbo model, this seems to be a bit of an illusive part, their either bust or have already been binned. I'm sure one will turn up eventually.

A personality and a sense of humour for one (sorry Mr Bandit, couldn't resist!)...erm, apart from that I think Artic had two or three cars he was breaking though I don't know if he still has them.

to be honest guys, ive always prefered the black interior and think itd go rather nicely with triton green. its definetly on my to do list a.s.a.p.

im just cautious as i can see myself in a situation where ive got bx bits everywhere and a car literally half in bits lol!

furthermore, as the car is my daily runnner id have no more than a wk end to do it.

that, to me, makes it one hell of a task :?

You can shange the whole interior in a day if you're commited.
I've done a few now.

Black is for winners, it's just, well, less grey, and more black.
And ya know what they say, once you've had a bit of black. You dont go back!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

  @ Billy. But I do have a sense of humour.........it's just bypassed!

Chris, ignore Doc cos he's dextrous genius and should not be compared to mere living beings!

Hmm, well if your car is trton green then I have the Hurricane interior to match! ( a black/green/grey cheque type pattern) No bolster cushions but plain black is what you need. I even have a black carpet set to match!

You could do it in stages. Carpets, black trim, seats and door cards (easy in a day even for me!) and then do the dash and remaining front end trim over a weekend. If you are interested, I can do an inventory of what bits are missing but they are few and commonly available.

Mulley, they do seem to be fragile. It's usually removing the air intake U bend that feeds the air box that's the 'sticking' point. The moral is to vaseline your U bend!!!

Ps Bandit, I've know you have a sense of humour mate, I've seen a picture of you remember

Interiors are pretty easy to get out, iirc the hardest part is getting those pesky bolts out that hold the front seats in place?

i now have much to digest...

doc, i am puzzled as to what you mean by
shange
as its not a term im familiar with at present.

i am nowhere near doc in terms of bx know how and probably never will be, so im probably looking at a week or two at least

also, could someone enlighten me as to what the different interior types are, as i am a little unfamiliar at present.

finally, if anybody fancies lending a hand with the task, i would remunerate as required.

Plug TZD Hurricane Interior into google and you get this:

Image

But seriously, that's not it!

This: Image does it poor justice!

The dash in/out is the only biggy, but it's not really a biggy! Anyways, you have a bit of time yet if you want to think things over. In the new year (at some point...), I shall ebay those things that don't shift on here....

BX Bandit wrote: 1) Re-homed To Sir Chris Stevens of the Cheltenham- TZD Hurricane Interior - no rips or tears, could do with a clean tho. All door cards. Rears have the hole for manual rear window winders. No headrests (unless I find spare ones hidden somewhere) and no bolster cushions
2) Re-homed To Sir Kitch of the South TZD interior - excellent condition, slight mark on front passenger seat but I think it'll come out with some white spirit. All door cards, front headrests (possibly rears too) bolster cushions. This is still up for grabs gratis and way too good to bin, and once the TGD goes I'll have no where to store it.....
3) Re-homed To Sir Chris Stevens of the Cheltenham Although the original interior was grey, my plan was to turn it all to black. Subsequently, I have most but not quite all parts to change a BX to black interior, inc Dash, instrument panel console. In fact, I have two black dash boards......no glove box lid tho!
4) These have now gone - 4 steel 14 x 5.5J wheels inc tyres (assume tyres need replacing)

5) 2 TZD wheel trims

6) Red Boot lid with baby walker spoiler.

7) A rust free o/s A pillar from an other car

8] Anything else is likely to be unavailable - but ask anyway just in case because there are lots of random bits buried in there too!

9)Gone to BXC member - Pair of front wishbones

10)Ed4Ferrets - Triton Green Front bumper c/w splitter and front fog lamp supports.

11) Re-homed To DLM of the South Chrome style grille (normally black - the one fitted to later Diesel models)

All items are free. Donations to charity would be nice for any items taken, Cancer or animal related (the member who has donated most of his parts to me that I am passing on is a real animal lover).
