Rear leather headrests

Is there any difference in the shape of the rear and front headrests? Because I want it for the front, and I think I can just unscrew that rod and put the front/longer one from my velour headrest on it.
That should work, right?

Not 100% sure, but the rod is connected to the plastic bit which is screwed into the base of the headrest, so i'm presuming that you could swap the rod's over.

I'd make sure you kept the original short rods, as you never know some more leather ones might turn up & then you could have rears as well.

The front and rear headrests are the same, and the rods can be swapped over... I've done it my self many times (although never lucky enough to have a leather interior).

They are seriously rare, so keep hold of the bases... even if you don't have a rear seat

That's a lot of €€€s - just shows there's a few BX nuts getting nuttier. You'll have to make your own Carl - get some normal headrests and get them covered . I know a little leather shop in Konstanz that might do it for you in between making those leather trousers with the lacing up the side

and goth coats!

Few quids there LOL!
Trouble is the rear rests being an option there are quite a few leather interiors without the rear items so people will pay good money to complete their set.
It took me a couple of years to find my rears but dropped in lucky when I spotted a P1 on ebay with full leather and the owner was happy to sell me the rear items for some cash
