that problem was the same on my estate and i changed the fdv over and it made no difference ,i never did get to the bottom of the problem but have read through threads i had a notion that the brake douser valve thingy might have something to do with it ,just thought i would throw my 10pence worth in for what its worth

Were that the case, the car would probably rise with the brakes applied. No, the problem is certainly a lack of pressure in the suspension circuit. The pump seems to work and the pressure regulator is not cutting out. The FDV seems to be dividing the flow in an improper manner and perhaps not sending flow to the pressure regulator. I'll look at some hydraulic system drawings and puzzle it out.

was just thinking back to the last week i drove the car i had to stop every now and then and turn the steering to full lock to get the suspension back up again but it was only the rear as the front was fine ,hope that gives you some clues.
