So mk2 will fit a mk1, but not the other way around?

Doors look mint for the record, although they'll be minus mouldings so we'll have to see how easy they remove!

Correct (God, I explained that in the most complex and confusing manner imaginable  )

I'm with ya now Ted!

The car is coming along ok. Half the bodykit is removed and I'm confident I can get the remaining bits off in the next couple of days, along with the sunroof and dashboard. However time is starting to press and I've been knocked out with man flu the last couple of weeks, and this shell MUST be gone by the weekend if not sooner, so if I might struggle to get certain parts off I'll contact the relevant person so that they can come and try in a sort of team effort!

Right, update for parts:

Alloy wheels - sold & collected

Interior - sold not collected

N/S door mirror - sold not collected

O/S/F headlamp & sunroof cable cover - sold not collected

Sunroof/headling assy & steering wheel - sold not collected (or more likely delivered!)

Rear electric window setup - sold & collected

Black dash/black interior trim/carpet - sold not collected

Side pod vents, spoiler & door mouldings - sold not collected

Clocks/dials & lockset - Sold not collected

Struts, H/C's, Brakes, FDV - sold not collected

Anti-roll bars - Sold not collected (or delivered)

N/S doors - potentially sold

Still Available:

Mint white short nosed bonnet

White ph2 16v front bumper (needs work - FOC)

Good white rear ph2 16v bumper

N/S headlamp & all other lamps

Mint white O/S/F wing (has 16v arch spat attached)

White N/S/F wing (without arch spat, has slight ding)

O/S doors....look very tidy

All door glass

Windscreen (if you can get it out!)

Rear subframe....looks good.

Front subframe....see above

Fuel tank(s)

Plus plenty of little bits i can't remember!

Righto, just had a weather check and it's been raining hard. The TVR is now full of water, and this makes Kitch an unhappy boy! So, this BX will be going at close of play Sunday, with the remaining parts to remove the front suspension, O/S bodykit and sunroof assy (which I need to work out as I go!)

If there are any heavy duty bits remaining like doors, axles etc that people want, get down here on Wednesday and bring some gloves! The car is available for last minute raiding for little tit bits that will probably just get binned otherwise.

Ta!

Ok, well if no-one is else wants this lot then I'll claim the following for the estate project (dont ask)

Front wings, front and rear bumpers, sunroof (although just the glass bit is fine, it's only the metal securing rails that are fucked on mine and I gave away all my good spares  ), steering wheel and the reserve fuel tank.

Cash is no problem, although getting down to yours in the next couple of weeks could be an issue..

Is storage doable or do I need to get this lot gone pronto?
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Aren't the hatchback rear bumpers different to the estates though mate?

Doc:

Front wings are yours, although I've removed the arch spat off the N/S wing, but it's still there. Front bumper was inquired about, but nothing concrete sorted....you know it's mullered right? Sunroof already yours, rear bumper can be if you want (it's not mint and is missing braket at bottom but could be useful), steering wheel no issue and reserve tank I'll remove for ya tomorrow hopefully.

Storage is ok for a short time, but could be an issue longer term as we have to move out soon! Still not sure if I'm gonna be able to make it up to you in the next coupla weeks....16v's insurance and tax are up soon. Might have to put the Xsara on the road again, if not I'm car-less

M: I'll see if I can get em off without breakage! Bonnet is mint too.

Kitch - I could possibly take some stuff over to the Doc's the next time I visit my brother - assuming dates/opportunity coincide. He lives within striking distance of Gloucestershire. Will give you a call.

If you make your visit after the 7th Feb DLM I'll drop off your chrome grille at Docs! I also have an interior for Kitch if you fancy a two way BX component loaded trip!

Plannage

The sunroof is now out, I just got in from the garage. Good news is that it looks pretty good all round :)

The rest will be coming out tomorrow and sunday, with tomorrow possibly concentrated on the o/s bodywork. Working in such a small garage it's not just a case of walking from one side to the other....you have to lift the shell on the engine crane and jack the back end up, and slide it over. It's hard work :(

I'll actually be glad to see the back of it once I've got everything off of it. Not much left right now! But I'm finding new holes everyday, and I might go and check mine in the same places

Well, good work Kitch! You've re-homed a vast proportion of it! It's easy to underestimate the work done in dismantling a car (Doc makes it look easy with his rugged good looks and sleeked back hair) but if you need to keep moving the chassis from side to side to dismantle the thing then that's a load of hassle! 10/10 and a gold star mate!

Bloody right, where's my award?

Came close to knocking it off the axle stands tonight too....would have hurt the toes!

Possibly got Mr Rutherford himself coming tomorrow, and Matt on Sunday to collect the bulk of the bits. The car will probably go Sunday evening and I get my garage back! :D

Erm, what fricking hair man?! All I can say is, should have gone to SpecSavers!

Oh, and thats a very kind gesture DLM, I thank you. If I make it down your way beforehand though, if you're around we must get together for a pint or some such!
