Roughbert, you've gotta be quick! TZD turbo estates, even with 224,000 miles are sought after. Even by disgruntled Xantia estate owners, apparently!

Home safe and sound, thaks to Dave, its filthy and the spheres are SHOT as it bounces down the road like a demented frog, but all in all not bad, needs alot of work so I wil hang on to it for a while (yes I like it even though its an estate and ugly) and get as much done as possible.

No need Tim! Roughbert's after an estate (see this very thread!) so there's your fifty quid straight back. Win win situation!

That's the quickest turnaround on a car ever - you've sold it before it has chance to cool down!!!

Im going to hang on to it for now billy as I want to tidy it up first and do a few jobs, a new set of spheres a full valet and a service and the usual dash bulbs etc will transform it I will be parting with it soon enought but as the MOTS due very soon I want to see what needs doing first.

However I have promised Phill first refusal on her when I do sorry Roughbert but I wil of course bare you in mind.

You'd do better by paying to get it welded up to actually prolong it's life, rather than changing bulbs and a valet. That way you ensure it's longevity and the visual stuff can come in it's own time.

From the inspection I did today I dont think any welding is needed Bandit, all the usual areas are as solid as a rock.

Good stuff Tim. Bet I can find some though! :P I've never been fussed on the estate personally but I do wonder whether with the back seats down one would be long enough to kip in without cramping up.

One of the piccies posted by (I think Toddao) had a kind of roll out platform in the back - ambulance maybe?

I think a hatch is just a tiny bit short....but at least it's flat. I once spent the night in my Morris Minor Saloon after many pint of Wreckers from a pub in Fowey - Cornwall..........a terrible, terrible 'green' night (damn, I need a vomit emoticon)

I see the practical value off the estate and agree in a TD its a great family car etc but Prefer the looks of the hatch myself.

Anyway updates to follow, need to get some seats asap as they dont match (drivers is from a early GTi) and have a few fag burns in them as I think dave likes his "smokes"

In a Dragons Den approach, I'd donate my interior for a 50% stake in the selling price of your estate! Tis immaterial anyway as Kitch has nabbed it!

Sleeping in the back of an estate: with the seats down it's about 1.7m hatch to folded up rear seat base. Sleeping at an angle should allow someone up to six foot to get comfortable - if there's something other than protection strips to rest on!
