BX turbo diesel wanted

Post by Tourist »

I'm new to the forum, I currently own a ZX 1.9D and my first car was a Pug 306, also a 1.9D.

I'm looking for something different now, and the BX looks very interesting to me. The trouble is that I can't seem to find ANY for sale anywhere, so I wondered if someone on here has one going?

I'm not interested in estates as I'm only 17 (18 in a couple of weeks) and they're too big for my needs. I bet you don't get many people my age on here, eh?

OK so if anyone has a BX hatch for sale, please let me know as I'd love to own one!

atb,

James from Oxford area.

Welcome aboard James, bearing in mind your age I would check the insurance on a TD against a 1.9D and see how it works out.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Well for the 1.7 TD insurance is about £200 more than I'm paying now, for my ZX. I want something different, I've had 2 cars with the same engine now.

Relating to my first post I'd like to add that I will take good care of a BX if I can get one, I'm not a boy racer

Oh and thanks for the welcome.

Hahahahaha! I did miss something.....the title

Theres been a few on here recently alone, I don't think you'll have an issue finding one, although what you want is a nice xsara TD, and it just so happens I can help you with that!

Otherwise get a valver and hang the insurance. You only live once....briefly.

Amen bro!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Ah that one, looks good but I don't have money until I sell my current car. Please if anyone finds anymore post them in this thread, then I can pick one from which are left when I have the money :)

Strangely enough, this particular car seems to be sitting on a set of ZX alloys (unless I'm very much mistaken). Don't dismiss TGD turbos - the TXD turbo's predecessor. Both are easily upgradeable to TZD spec if that's the way you want to go, and the best-driving BX turbodiesel I've ever owned was a TGD turbo.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

I don't think they're ZX alloys, I've ever seen those on a ZX. Maybe though ...

The wheels look like boggo aftermarkets to me.

Welcome along by the way. You should get a BX 14... Cheap to insure, cheap to tax, cheap to run, usually low mileage, and easy to work on.

But... sounds like you're after a diesel to me. In which case good luck finding a nice one. They are out there.

BX 14 FTW :D

The diesel will need to be amazing on fuel to make up the savings on insurance and road tax. And with the right mods, a 14 will keep up with a TD...mine did.

Aye, but with 'the right mods' and whilst keeping up with the TD, I would wager it would be drinking *substantially* more fuel...
