  He ain't driving it right if it's a stock 16V!!!! Thats gone well into the red and is barely below it when he changes up!

But Mr Dyane, you do indeed 'need' a valver! :P

If it was a stock valver, it wouldn't go that far into the red :P

Mine does with just the chipped ECU, goes up to 7800rpm but personally I think it peaks at 7400-7500rpm. The standard bottom end can take 8k I'm told, although a standard head is only really useful under 7.5k revs.

When he shifts up he's not far above the red, but if it#s chipped the whole power band has probably moved up too....doesn't wake up until 4800rpm.

I think Doc will need to drive BAH on saturday....I need some comparison  I dunno if it's pant or not!

Oohhhh, go on then!
It certainly seems to go ok from the various vids I've seen of it.
And it should go better than mine as I binned the chipped ECU and stuffed a stock ECU back in the old girl.
It feels much flatter now, but I'd rather keep the con rods inside the block longterm so it can stay flat!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Have you noticed he's been quoted £1200 insurance on a TD, and that's if he claims to be a student, otherwise it's £2400. Can you imagine the premium on a GTi?

It's £1400, and I don't really want a petrol but thanks anyway.
