Mysterious STOP light episode
Mysterious STOP light episode
Transferring from the M25 to M3, one of those long and fairly tightly curving link roads, I thought I'd see how planted the BX felt in long corners at speed. Took it at about 60-65, felt fine, but suddenly the STOP light came on. As soon as I came out of the corner, off it went , not to show it's face again despite my hurling it round roundabouts and round a similar if less steep corner on the M3/M27 link road in an attempt to get it to reappear. What is this a symptom of, pray tell?

As above.
Pop suspension on high, look on top of green lhm tank, there is a plastic cylinder poking out with a couple of coloured lines on it. Inside the cylinder is an orange plastic disc, if its below the bottom line, then pop some fluid in & watch it rise up. The orange disc should between the lines for the lhm to be at the correct level.

Also worth checking that the LHM Indicator (the little yellow floater) hasn't got stuck up the top of the plastic dome/tube thing! Mine had a habit of doing that for a while, till I cleaned everything out.
Check the position with the suspension in 'Low' first, then raise it to 'High'.
If it's down on low, but doesn't go up when you move to the 'high' position, shove some more green blood in there, and Robert is your Auntie's husband!

There's no point in looking at it on low because the indicator will read high but the reading is meaningless because the indicator will fall when the car goes to high.
Car on high is the only way to check it IMHO.
