I personally dislike most accesories....
Tailblazers, quads (on BX's), headlamp protectors, vents, towbars, extra badges and stickers, faux wood kits (what the f**k were they on when they dreamed that up??!) and I even think the armrest looks wank. I hate neons too, externally and internally. Seat covers, A?M exhaust trims etc, cup and phone holders....they all look tacky.
However I don't mind mudflaps on the back of a car, I have a set of geniune Citroen BX carpet mats and an official Citroen Sport gearknob. The boot flap things are cool, as are fogs that work unless they're used when it isn't foggy.....then you are seriously uncool (and a p*nis for doing it). If they've been rewired and re-angled to act as spot lamps then you are in the next cool league up though.
Oh, and leather seats aren't an accessory, they're a cost option.

True - but currently headlamps for the Xantia (2000 model) are rarer than hens teeth second hand, and £stupid fron Citroen - so £20 on protectors = money well spent.
I suppose as it gets older spares will become more readilly available and cheaper.
Then as it gets older still - people will be looking for genuine accessories to complete the concourse appearance.

I think that's great. But only half a job. I agree, change the bumper and wheels as well as have the bumpers body-colour painted..
I like what they did to the rear C pillar area, especially. And an interesting door handle.
A missed opportunity? Maybe. But I guess not many would have been bought... rivals included, what? The Nissan Sunny Coupé etc!
