The one in the DTR turned into dust when I removed it, this is the compatced foam type stuff thats goes under the carpets (and acts as a sponge when your sunroof leaks).
Anyone got some?
Thanks.

Dynamat is for sound deadening panels, inside doors etc. It has no sound absorbant layer, but dampens the panel.
You need the felt carpet with a hard top coating to go under the top carpet.

You could salvage some from a newish car in a breakers, but that is probably more trouble than it is worth, and you still need to cut it to the right shape anyway.
The carpet stuff is very effective, if you evo stick it in place
under a bonnet that has no sound insulation, the improvement is very noticeable.
I think it is better than what most manufactuers fit, which is too thin and flops about.
