cooling

Post by ace_the_bass »

evening all. Great start on the getting my Gti back up and running.....bought a gear linkage from the citroen agent in Eccleston and modified it so that it will fit my car, now thats out of the way im trying to get round to sorting out the fan. there is definatley electricity going to the fan so it must be the temperature sensor that isnt working. i've had a look on a few websites tonight for a replacement but the ones listed to for my 1991 Gti only look like they have one electrical connector yet in my haynes manual it appears to have 3.
the car is laid away now and i wont get to it till atleast next weekend. I'd like to order a replacement so i can get on with sorting out next time i can visit the garage.
has anyone any ideas/part number (s) so i can get on with it?!

cheers

Dave.

Have you bypassed / linked out the temp switch just to confirm that is the problem?
