They are incredibly hard to get hold of, you may be better getting yours refurbished.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Which carb might help people to respond... Weber or Solex?
As there's a number of variations, the numbers from the side of your old one would also help you to find the right one.

I have zero patience for your tedium.

I don't mind if it's weber or solex.
Have already rebuilt the one we have on the car from a couple of carbs, would just like another.

Depending which one you get a weber is not s straight swop and may beef the inlet manifold with it.

Re: Wanted: Carb for 1.6 BX
Believe it or not brand new Z1 32-34 carbs are available - about £230!. I found a couple last year. Better though, is the full Solex refurb kit around £50 which has all the gaskets, needle valve, and especially autochoke diaghram rubbers. The last I changed on mine last year much to its benefit as 21 years of petrol exposure had made it go hard as hell. The choke now works a lot better. Took me quite a while to find this little fault.
Float should be changed too if it weighs more than 7gm. Mine was 7.5 - too heavy - the plastic absorbs fuel. Note this does not mean a hole in the float with fuel inside it, just as part of the skin. Also found float level at 40mm not 33 but that's not my doing... Anyway somewhere near the normal setting and performance since.

They do have a website too I'm sure.
Im pretty sure I got mine from them. There is another company that has the full new Z1 carb amongst thousands of carbs and parts. If the kit is about £25 it is not the full kit. It's about double that. The cheap kit does not include the diaghrams.
One word of warning with the autochoke diaphram - DO NOT try to prise apart the inner small (ie about 3-4mm travel) diaphram as it is a snap fit to the punger part. Instead just change the diaghram with the longish (35mm) bent rod. You will most likely snap the plastic of the part that goes into its mating part before you loosen it. If you have a spare you can afford to try. The kit does not include the float but they do have them.
I have also seen on Ebay Germany the diaghram alone with the bent rod. BTW the kit covers every Solex so you will get a lot of redundant parts unfortunately.
Might be worth checking Ebay France - I got a wishbone pin on that for 5 Euro, despite Citroen dealers in France listing them at 31 Euro. With none in the UK.....

webcon carry new Z1 32/34
I believe my brother has decided to go for a new one from there.
FWIW, he's used a weber and a solex on the same car, on the same manifold.
