Had the GT weeks now sorting it out for MOT and everyday use, so far so good, runs very nice no power steering have drained and refreshed LHM, not spheres as yet.
Most confusing part windscreen washer? Not working but was it? No power to front windscreen washer pump so pipe been re routed to rear screen washer, so wash front windscreen use rear screen wash button.
One foglamp has no power to it and radiator fan not coming on, ordered a new temperature switch hopefully sort that out.
Hardest job so far removing left over glue left after some idiot decided to remove black and red side stripes, hours using Acetone gentle scraping and green scourer, factory fitted stickers must be bonded on? may replace with GT badges can’t find any matching stripes.
All good hope to get some photos up soon.

It will probably be the motor on the washer pump, try swapping the reservoirs over and see if that works, also its common for where the water passes through the wiper spindle to get rusted up, stopping the water coming through, a small drill bit can sort this.
If you wish to reinstall the side stripes they would be easy to do, ive had some made before when I had some paint done.
If not done I would change all belts and fluids.
You should have power steering, as all of them did, which is maybe the FDV blocked.

I’ve tried swapping motors over I even bought a replacement, I tested no power from cable to windscreen reservoir, foglamps baffling me today, one side working so I swapped bulb and internal units over each side now neither work?
Be interested to know where to get stripes made, looking online I can’t find any black stripe same width.
I don’t know what is FDV? Others have said being stood around for so long power steering can go but plenty of use will come back, I’ve had front wheels of the ground and done lock several times each way and makes that power steering whooshing noise.
Back on the ground no luck.

I would suggest flusing the system with Hydraflush and cleaning out the filters with petrol, all easy but be aware the internal lip of the reservoir is razor sharp.
if you are unsure I would get the car to a specialist,

I’ve done flushing system many times on CX, I have cleaned filters and replaced LHM was some nasty brown muck in there.
But never done FDV filters totally new to me but looking forward to it.
One fan belt has started squeaking so could be the fault, will change both first, like CX where pump belt has to be as tight as possible, crowbar needed.

FDV = flow distributor valve, its what directs LHM to the power steering. They do get blocked up but not the filters as they just split and allow the fluid to get by. Pleiades do recon kits or will recon yours. But a common cause of powerless power steering is a weak pump.
Typically the steering is heavy at first startup but gets noticeably lighter after a bit of use.
