Young enthusiast looking for a project BX to save (based in Essex)

Post by Jay_Little08 »

Hi everyone,

I'm 17 and looking to get my hands on a Citroën BX project. Most mates my age are buying Corsas, but I’ve been obsessed with the BX for a while now—mostly down to the Gandini styling and the hydropneumatic setup.

Car stuff runs in the family. My brothers own a Hillman Imp, a mk1 Escort, a 50s Prefect, and an R33 Skyline. Because of them, I've got plenty of access to tools, a workspace, and hands-on mechanical help, so I'm not afraid of a car that needs proper work.

Since I'm 17 my budget is pretty tight, so I'm hoping to find a barn find, something that's been sitting under a tarp for years, or a "free to a good home" project that someone just wants to see saved by the next generation. Dirt, moss, and mechanical issues aren't a problem.

I'm based down in Harlow, Essex, but my brothers and I can sort out a trailer/recovery to collect it if it's within a reasonable distance. If you have a BX you want to move on, or know of one sitting unused somewhere, please let me know.

Thank you for reading,
Jay Little

Hi, I know you posted this a while ago but if you haven't already, ask again on the BX Club UK facebook page, its much more active and you're more likely to find a project, there was 1 or 2 advertised recently.
