The Finest wet and dry paper?
I'm looking for something only slightly more abrasive than t-cut and similar compunds
I want to rub out a slight, almost imperctible tide-mark - the furthest extent of my "blown-in" paint job?

toothpaste also acts as a blue tack if you run out but its not recomended for sticking up wall paper!
the abrasives in toothpaste are very different to that of a compound! you woulndt want to clean your teeth with a cutting compound so why try and clean your car with toothpaste????
as an imediate last resort maybe! but i would rather leave it and use the proper products than 'bodging it'!
sorry guys but thats my thoughts!
