The GTi belongs to my better half Sue. We bought it off Billy (Cavmad) but had previously been owned by Phil Chidlow. Its in top notch condition mechanically other than a worn engine. Seems a shame to scrap it but once we find a diesel auto it may have to go....
I bought the TZD about 18 months ago from its 1 french owner from new. There were only 32,000 miles on the clock when i got it but its getting on for 60,000 now. Even with the low mileage when purchased it needed some serious fettling to get it ready for regular use. Its now a fabulous car, no matter how hard i try i dont think any replacement would be as good.

Likewise. It's way too nice to be binned Ian, surely someone has a decent spare engine for it somewhere?

Ian's (or rather Sue's) black GTi is probably the nicest BX I've owned and driven.
Ian, if you do decide to sell it please let me know.

Right, I reckon we've cracked it then. Ian sells me his wife's car, you sell me your engine and Bob is your aunty's fella.

Sorted!
If you get the car Billy, you can have the engine gratis. I dont need it, it's got 8 too few valves for my tastes!!
