are all Bx's fitted with Dim/Dip?
i'm sure that the other cars i had were fitted with it
i'm not sure how it all works but it is nice to be able to drive around town
on the side lights (dimmed headlights) and to able to flash the headlamps
when needed and then switch to full lights when you get out of town
(which in when you need them most )

Hi curtis,y' can drive round town on full dipped beam and still flash other motorists ....the flasher gives "full beam" [it does on my "K"plate TZD anyway] ....and the battery's on BX's seem to be able to cope with owt [compared to a 2CV battery] .....I take it you've got the BX sorted then?

Helpfully there happens to be one on eBay, if this is the thing you mean:classic2cv wrote:Thanks ken
i'll have a look for it in the morning
i'd imagine that the resister might be the same as the type fitted to 2cv’s about the same time

Hi again Terry
it's running well with new spheres front and rear
the front height adjuster needs to be freed off and reset
the clutch needs to changed soon (slipping slightly)
and I have a very slight leak in the fuel return to fix
it came taxed&tested with a new battery and 2 new tyres
not bad for an eBay purchase

Hey Cutis [I'm prob'ly gonna get slated for this 'un on here .....cos I dont really know much 'bout BX's] ......if y' reckon the clutch is slipping??? ......have you recently changed the diesel filter?,that's the trick I did .....I bought the car, decided to give it a good service and then wondered why the clutch was slipping .....then I worked out where the clutch was and where the diesel had spilled when I'd changed the filter ....it takes about 150 miles to cure it and then the clutch starts working normally again.

hi terry
thats not the case with mine
the clutch pedal was high when i got the car and it only slips now and again if i push it hard in a high gear
i'll get in the shed soon for good service and change it then
the filter on my car (J Reg) is on the far left hand side next to the LHM sump
spilling onto the clutch is not a problem on my car but i can see that
would be on later Bx's and to ZX & xantia's
