Yes old Harry Buckland is still going strong, has not a BX in sight tho :? Have been to many scrapyards in the area and a few in the depths of wales but not a BX to be seen, Where have they gone ! :shock:

I suppose the recent hike in the price of scrap in the last year or so has sadly taken its toll on the remaining population which was estimated to be about 37,000 at the start of 2005.

37,000 is still alot of cars ! Maybe most are tucked away in Garages, nicer thought than most have been crushed :shock:

That was four years ago and before the high scrap prices so it could be very much less now.

Him Tidus,and welcome. Although I am 'newby' myself,I have been repairing and restoring all types of Citroen for over 40 years.(Got my certs on the D,A and G range of models back in the 70's)I run a TZD Turbo estate every day.Great car. With regards to Chris Jacob,Frank left him quite a while before he sold up and went back to help run his family business.The mechanic who stayed was a young lad by the name of Ashley.I can recommend him personally,as he fitted the replacement engine in mine some 4 years ago,and it hasn't missed a beat(couldn't do it myself due to a hernia op just being done). I used to go and do work for Chris on an 'as needed' basis in my spare time if he was very busy,although 4 of us in the workshop was a bit crowded.
