Easy fix for that... you have to take your insurance certificate with you to the MOT test, and only then can you get an MOT disc to display in your windscreen (just like a tax disc).

Simples!

_ also agree about the tax duty in fuel - definitely a 'fair' system compared tho the layered blanket we're used to!
