Oh gawd yes mate, not big E-type status as you say. I can see the Escorts and Sierra's even the odd Fiesta but it's hard to imagine the Mondeo - but then I don't like them in any guise so maybe I'm slightly prejudiced there....cavmad wrote:Think they were a special edition thing.
When I say 'future classic' I don't mean in the E-Type mould, I mean sort of like old Cambridges/Minors/Farinas etc.
at Vanny - now you mention it, there are so many of those about!

******UPDATE********
New spheres are on, although the front end is still quite firm, the horrible 9 year old gloopy oil has been replaced by 4.5 litres of fresh Semisynth and a genuine filter. She flew through her MOT once I had changed the osr bald tyre for the slightly better spare, and was promptly issued with a new ticket and NO advisories. Not bad ey! ANdy youve dropped on!
And as usual I gave it a rub over with any oily rag, repainted the sills and replaced the peeling bumper inserts, the pictures do make it look better than it is, the paints tired in places and quite dull and theres plenty of dents, some T cut may bring it back up but I didnt get time today but the bonnets lacquer has had it.
The interior though is lovely, everything works including all the dash bulbs, the visors are floppy and the tailgate struts are shot, but on the whole a lovely old car, the underside is solid and theres no oil or LHM leaks, the boot floor has surface rust but not much and the inner wings are sound.

Either way, if it sits that high at the front, it's too high, so if it's level when running the back must be too high aswell surely?Roverman wrote:She had been switched off for a couple of hours by then and the rear had started to sink, when its running its dead level.ken newbold wrote:She looks a touch high at the front
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
