I agree that the best thing to do with it is to rebuild a 16V with the new shell.
It would have some resale value, and without a sunroof it would be lighter and one less thing to go leaky.
My own BX would be an ideal starting point, but like most of us who have to work for a living, this is not going to happen for me.
Perhaps that car should go to the Haynes museam, they are missing a BX.
