Per'aps you 'ave not put to work ze little grey cells, n'est pas, mon ami?* Actually, my dear wife put them on up-side down as a joke (military humour) after we'd resprayed the bonnet nose black to hide the zillions of stonechips (her idea, not mine I hasten to add).
I case you're wondering why it's black, it's because we had some black acrylic in the gun at the time (after repainting a motorcycle tank) no clear lacquer with which to overlay metallic basecoat even if we had some ................. and she thought it'd make the car look distinctive. As excuses go, that's about as far as I can stretch.
