Peter Dykes, and yes he is a lovely guy.

It's always good to meet up with some old faces :) and some new ones too :D

I had a great time on Saturday, went over to meet Kevan who'd kindly welded my car up & went upto Wetherby in convoy with Kevan's nice tzd turbo, we even made an unscheduled stop due to satnav woes & saw a beat up CX estate in a carpark, so we knew we were close

Sorry about the pointing out all the bargains Kevan

Let me know how i can get that rear smoked light over to you, will you be anywhere nr Wakefield or Chesterfield way anytime soon?

Peter was a lovely chap, i'm sure i've met him before, managed to pick up some bargain parts & even got some freebies thrown in. He was very enthusiastic about the bx & remenisced about his own bx that he used to own.

Great to meet up with Tim & friend (who's name i've suddenly forgotten  ), Richard (rxbx), Ken & ray with wife.

I was going to post some piccies, but Tim's are basically the same as mine, so you've saved me a job :D

Looking forward to the next meet, lets hope we get the luck of the weather.

Did anybody go up today?

I did! Another great day. Peter Dyke was there again and I felt rather bad for not being able to buy anything from him (he did manage to sell enough to cover his fuel costs today, but that's about it..) but a bank cock-up meant I had absolutely nothing until tomorrow. He did give me a few bits as he was leaving which was extremely kind, and the ignition barrel he gave me on Saturday looks like it will fix mine, so all in all I am very grateful to Peter - a lovely chap as everyone has said. He was talking about selling his Berlingo after he moves home and buying another BX, so hopefully I'll see him at another meet and get to repay him.

I wasn't sure about attending a rally, but I'm so glad I did! Some gorgeous cars, some very nice people - everything I could have hoped for. I've put photos on Facebook, and will post them here tomorrow when I'm not so sleepy. :)

CCC - Wetherby.
