Have you got windscreen cover on your insurance policy, if so and the door can be straightened then the glass can be replaced f.o.c. Without effecting your ncb?

I know Paul296 has a red BX as part of the 4 he is breaking which may provide a door etc.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

A lump of 3 x 2 and 2 G cramps should soon straighten that, I have a welder if you want to bring it over to Bolton for welding?

If I were to straighten it, I'd obviously then need glass, so does anyone
have a source for that at all?

Considering at this stage, with no time and MOT looming, it might have to go
to the garage for this, it might be easier to fit a whole new door?

My door has glass in, but I'm still a long way away!

Can't remember if it's tinted or not - I'll have a look in the morning.

Mike, thanks. Yeah I was looking at the map today, and although I could fairly easily combine a trip to you with a trip to family in Cardiff, it's not likely to be in time for the MOT etc. Thanks again for the offer, and if suddenly I'm going to be in your part of the world I'll let you know.

They stay in the out box until the person it was sent to reads it, it will only show in your sent box once it's been read.

What a day!

Got myself over to Shaun's in Wakefield to pick up a door. Ended up leaving with a new driver's door, and a passenger one for that side too!
(Both doors on that side were apparently replaced when the car was only a few months old due to an accident and were the wrong red, so seemed worth replacing both). Not only did I leave with two doors, I left with them fitted! Shaun went above and beyond. We decided the best action to leave his car vaguely water tight was to put my old doors on his scrapper, so it all worked out well.

Thank you very much to Shaun, and Paul for putting me in touch with him.

And thanks to everyone else who offered advice, time, parts or offers of violence! :D

And now the nearside window which wasn't working now is, must have been a loose connection on the off side!

I can confirm that Shaun is indeed both a top BXer and a top bloke. I'm always trying to persuade him to sign up on here but he doesn't 'do' computers: i.e. he's got a life! :D
