Ah, looks like your blog thread has been hijacked now

It was great to meet many of you today. This time last year, BX / Classic Car ownership was not on any of my horizons, now I have a couple and been to meetings. Must be more careful!

But it is all down to your "virtual" help / enthusiasm / encouragement.

Cheers guys :D

shite quality vid of BX Bandit being woken up by a sound system worth more than the car it's in!

The most amusing bit, not captured on vid was 5 of us very quietly pushing the Xantia over to Bandits tent to avoid waking him by starting the car... shouldn't have worried really..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Indeed there was over 30 bxs today, more of them than DS's this time.

Bit embarressed about the award tbh, compared to Len Drews DS its hardly best in show but it was the members who voted, mind you seeing his face was worth all the polishing as he looked gutted as I think he had it sown up! Mind you serves him right for asking 50 grand for it!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Ellie was telling me about that... She just couldn't believe that she popped back to the tent for a quick kip, then managed to sleep (on a totally flat airbed) through you guys all taking your tents down, packing up, and leaving the campsite...

It was a laugh, wasn't it? Gawd knows what time I hit the sack, but it was too close to getting up o'clock.

Hope you all enjoyed the rally itself - I think it went fairly well, but I might be biased.

Raised £58.20 for Cancer Research UK from the selling off of BXagon Challenge 'left-overs'. However I still have some bits left to get rid of: I couldn't fit them in the car... some rear light clusters mainly. So if anyone's after a set of early Mk 2 or smoked ones let me know.

Blimey, sorry Adrian, I had no idea Ellie was having a nap, I assumed she was packing up!

It was a riot mate, loved every second of it, and many thanks from all at BXProject and BXClub for organising it, bloosy excellent event and I heard no grumbles from anyone.

Are you organising next years? If not I suspect BXPtoject will be infiltrating 2CVGB's event!

She had a damn good laugh at Bandit's alarm clock, and slept through the rest solidly. I have been informed in no uncertain terms that I am never to make G&Ts in the dark again, since I am even less good at judging the proportions than I am in daylight...

Not if I can help it!

No reason to assume next year's won't be just as good, whoever does it, but you lot would fit right in with 2cvgb.

See you in Winchester, Aug BH weekend?

For FOUR nights of camping & event? Yes. I don't think that's expensive...

I'm really glad it went well, but sorry I wasn't there. I'll do my best for Stratford.

It was good to meet some new people, with new BXs.

Jackson-I did not see you on Sunday- you must have slept in.

I had to leave the show at lunchtime because of other commitments.

It was a good venue, with (probably) no rules at the campsite and a good turn out of cars. More BXs than any other Citroen car.

Quite local for me too.

Well done those who organised it.

Hi Guys,
sorry I couldn't be there this year, looks like it was a good laugh. It was just too expensive in the end to come over. And my BX needs NCTing after a couple of jobs, i'm using the XM mainly. I picked up an '88 Saab 900 turbo for the missus which i'm also enjoying, although i find I can't actually go as fast in it as the Citroens cos its got normal suspension!
'92 16TXS (m), Dark metallic green, 74k
'90 16TZS (m), White, 86k
'89 19TRS auto, Olympic Blue, 133k
'88 Saab 900 8v Turbo (auto) 107k Red with Tan leather, lovely drive and well maintained.
'07 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi 85k (m). Practical family wagon
