Yeah - good to meet everyone - excellent.

Well done to Tim for Best of Show - actually all of your BXs looked very good indeed (I'm still looking for the VIN no. for that paint spec - I have way too many interests so my 'filing system' weighs about 3 tons ! ).

And well done to Adrian for organising - spot on Sir :-)

PM to Phil.

Attending these rallies is the only time I realy do motorways in my BX's and it's always great to feel what fantastic motorway cruisers they are.

Those auto n/a's apparently have a nice long top gear, so cruise nicely, unlike mine which is revving away  (erm, when its not cutting out & then its rather quiet  )

Yes you were really quite lucky with your silent cruising, cutting out in the outside lane is one thing but cutting out in the outside lane with no indicators and still making it to the hard shoulder was bloody good going buddy.

Mines not to bad on the motorway.
70 at about 300 revs or just a bit less.
Im not being big headed. But i think mines one of the best on build quallity. Like harley any rust and solid body. The thing whats lets it down is the looks of the paint. And the silly brown window, On the pessenger door. And the little window at the back has a brown tint.
The engine is superb but the steering could do with some work.
Againe not being big headed. But once i have done theses little bits and bobs on it. I think ive got one of the best bxses.
Well i hope so spent 700 pound on it. But took it in to the mot. Its only going to cost 90 pound to get it though. Which is good for a nearly 20 year old car.

Glad you got back OK. I wouldn't worry too much about the glass: it's far more apparent from the inside!

Nice to meet you BTW.

Good man, so see you in the concours line up next year then!

Anyway the figures are in and the BX attendance was the best of any model over the weekend, a total of 36 counted in all, the next best being C5's with a paltry 22 8) Long live the BX!

That is - it has to be said - exceptional. Well done. It would've been 37 but for me turning up in my XM banger.

Thats strange, I don't remember seeing any C5s at all !

Did see a nice Audi quattro in red, and lots of MK1 and Mk2 Fiestas.

It was impressive how simple the Fiestas are compared with my BX-bought back memories seeing those.

Make that 38 if the octopus hadn't died... I'm hoping to hear from Gibbo (or anyone else!) more info about home-made octopus fixes. After that and 2 tyres, the MOT is not far away.

I quite liked the idea of having a replacement octopus fitted the way they are in the 4x4 that had it's bonnet up, it's located in a much easier place to see if there's a problem & either can be fixed or replaced so much easier than where its normally stuffed. I can't understand why citroen didn't adopt the 4x4 approach of placing the damn thing. It may be worth having a look into Ray seeing as you're getting one fitted?
